Rollovers
Information:
1. The picture size you send is the picture size you get back.
You send an 800 * 600 picture thats the is size you get back, send a 3456 * 2304 picture and thats will be the dimensions of the finished picture. I can try to make your picture bigger without losing quality but there are limitations for example I will be unlikely to take an 800 * 600 picture and make it big enough to print at a very large size without considerable loss of quality.
2. The higher the resolution of the picture the higher the detail the better the final result.
3. Picture types (.raw, .cr2. .jpg, .gif, .png etc) are not a problem send whatever you have.
Limitations:
1. Camera phone pictures tend to not contain a lot of detail, without detail there is little to work with. Newer camera phone pictures are usually OK but the quality will not be the same as from a compact or DSLR.
2. Old scanned pictures also tend to not have much detail but I have had some success. If you have a favourite picture of your first Lammy from 1968 then I can give it a try.
Content:
The best results come from certain shots. During the process dark and light areas of a picture will be amplified, this lets the metallics shine but also blows out the highlights of any overexposed areas.
For example:
This picture was taken on a bright sunny day which shines off the metallics and really makes them sparkle but this amplified in the finished picture. This effect may be what you are after as it can be quite effective.
Roll over the picture.
This picture was taken about 8:15 at night. There are no light areas in the picture so it is well suited to a 'grainy' effect.
Roll over the picture.
This one was taken while it was raining and even though there is no sunshine the metallic paint still shines through.
